Stoneware Urns, Kassel or Fulda, around 1800

Pair of playfully marbled stoneware urns in brown, black and white, with gadrooned walls on a recessed feet with acanthus leaf decorations. The lid rest on a ring with a cymatium frieze and end in a floral knob. The urns were once converted into lamps, leaving holes in the knob and in the bottom. Old repaired crack on one foot. (dimensions plinth: 16 x 16 cm)
