Meissen Marcolini Porcelain Group, Continent Asia, c. 1775

Large allegorical porcelain group representing the Asian continent. The personification of the continent is sitting on a camel with headdress (damaged), sceptre and censer. Very detailed Marcolini group after a design by Johann Joachim Kaendler, Peter Reinicke and Johann Friedrich Eberlein. On the bottom blue sword mark with a star and a cancellation mark. Same fire cracks, otherwise good condition.
