Johann George Ehrlich (1676 - 1743) was an alderman of Dresden and merchant (elder of the Dresdner Handelsinnung). As a very wealthy man he became a generous well-known founder. Among the several foundations is the school and poor foundation, the so-called "Ehrlichsche Gestift" very well known.
